    How to Fix “Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped” Error

    Step 1: Reset Chrome by clearing its cache and data

    Your bookmarks and browsing history are synced automatically with your Google account for as long as you’ve enabled the sync so they’re safe. If not, then go to Settings and try to sync everything first and after that, reset Chrome to bring it back to its factory default settings.
    1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
    2. Find and tap Settings.
    3. Under the ‘APPLICATIONS’ section, find and touch Application manager.
    4. Swipe to the left or to the right to display the appropriate screen but to display all apps, choose the ‘ALL’ screen.
    5. Find and tap Chrome.
    6. Touch Clear cache to delete its cached files.
    7. Touch Clear data and then OK to delete downloaded data, login information, settings, etc.
    After this, open Chrome and try to browse the web and if the error doesn’t show up, probe further by opening links from your messaging or email app.

    Step 2: Try to see if third-party apps have something to do with it

    You have to be sure that the problem isn’t caused by a third-party because if it is, then it’s even easier to fix it. So, boot your phone up in Safe mode and try to trigger the error.
    1. Turn off the phone completely.
    2. Press and hold the Power key.
    3. Once ‘Samsung Galaxy Note5’ shows, release the Power key and immediately press and hold the Volume Down button.
    4. The phone will restart but keep the Vol Down button pressed.
    5. Once the phone has finished restarting, ‘Safe mode’ will be displayed in the lower-left corner of the screen.
    6. You may now release the Volume Down button.
    If the error still shows up, try to reset the most common trigger–the Internet.

    Step 3: Reset the Internet app

    I’m talking about the default web browser, the Internet. Chrome uses some of its services and there might be some caches or files that got corrupted that’s why this error occurs, so try to clear the cache and data of the Internet app to see if that makes a difference.
    1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
    2. Find and tap Settings.
    3. Under the ‘APPLICATIONS’ section, find and touch Application manager.
    4. Swipe to the left or to the right to display the appropriate screen but to display all apps, choose the ‘ALL’ screen.
    5. Find and tap the Internet.

    If the error remains, then go after the firmware at this point in our troubleshooting.

    Step 4: Wipe the cache partition

    System caches get corrupted most of the time and when it happens, issues like freezing, lagging or crashing of apps may occur. The only way to replace caches is to delete them first so that the system can create new ones and this is how you do it:

    1. Turn off your Samsung Galaxy Note 5 completely.
    2. Press and hold the Volume Up and the Home buttons first, and then press and hold the Power key.
    3. Keep the three buttons pressed and when ‘Samsung Galaxy Note5’ shows, release the Power key but continue holding the other two.
